African countries who are victorious over corona virus
The World Health Organisation(WHO) has
primarily expressed how their biggest worry was the continent of Africa.
According to them, Africa does not
have adequate health care facilities and the coronavirus was suppose to hit it
the worst. To their surprise, Africa has been doing quite good, it has a
relatively love death toll and currently 3 of its countries have completely
recovered from the virus.

are the 3 countries that show resilience in the fight against a virus no one is
sure how to protect themselves against.
1. Mauritius
Total
population: 1 271 513
Date of
recovery: 10 May 2020
Number
of deaths: 10
Confirmed
cases: 322
The
country had its first case on March 18 and 2 days later it put restrictions on
movements and introduced a curfew. Within 2 months, all the people had
recovered, Despite the 10 casualties.
2. Eritrea
Total
population: 3 540 167
Date of
recovery: 15 May 2020
Number of
deaths: 0
Confirmed
cases: 39
This
country has a relatively large population compared to the other 2 countries
that recovered. It got its first case mid April and recovered with no
casualties in a month.
3. Western
Sahara
Total
population: 595 382
Date of
recovery: 15 May 2020
Number
of deaths: 0
Confirmed
cases: 39
A day
after Mauritius recovered, this country followed suit. Most try to discredit it
because of its small population but managing a fast spreading virus such as
covid-19 is no small victory.
